Arnstorf, March 2011 - Concerts are a feast for the ears and eyes. Our enjoyment is not just of the performance itself, but also of the surroundings in which they are staged. The Lindner Group has gathered many years of experience and expertize in the creation and construction of variable and acoustically optimized space concepts for studios and concert halls. As a family-run company, we take pride in the attention to which we pay to project-specific characteristics. Only after taking the local conditions into account is it possible to create a truly convincing and multi-functional concept. Working in this segment, we are responsible for a number of very different and interesting projects, both in Germany and abroad.
The Philharmonie de Paris is currently engaged in developing a large-scale complex for staging musical events on a 20.000 m² area following a design by the star architect Jean Nouvel. Located in the Parc de La Villette in Paris, the building is situated around a large concert hall with a seating capacity of some 2,400. Lindner was commissioned with realizing the entire interior design, including the concert hall. The brief was to produce the optimum acoustic conditions with a prestigious design, all combined with the highest degree of functionality. The FLOOR and more® surface used for the arena floor can be adapted to every construction situation, and prevents the thunder effect when walked on. It is also acoustically effective. A particular challenge was the three dimensional, 5.500 m² formed interior facade. Its unique form makes the perforated cladding weigh some 100 kg / m2, requiring special know-how in its adaptation.
The construction boom in formerly internationally isolated countries such as Azerbaijan makes for some extremely interesting projects. One such project is the Aliyev Cultural Center in Baku, designed by the internationally famous architect Zaha Hadid. The exceptional concert and congress hall requires elaborate construction solutions for its complex organic form. The interior facade of this multi-purpose hall poses considerable challenges in terms of the substructure, measurement, statics and the nature of the surface. To guarantee the optimal solution, we built two impressive models (20 m² in size) of the "internal skin" in order to convince the architect and client of our expertize in facade construction. 25.000 m² in area, the "Internal Skin" has been partially realized using internally-produced NORIT products.
In the interior construction of the concert hall, Lindner is able to make good use of its long experience in all areas of interior fittings. We provide expertize for the entire duration of the project, ranging from the consultation, development and planning phases up to production, delivery and assembly. This comprehensive service has become popular amongst our clients and explains our international success, with projects ranging from a concert hall in Kristiansand and Stavanger / Norway, in Linz and for "Radio France" in Paris.
