Data Protection Declaration
The Lindner Group is pleased to see you visiting its website and welcomes your interest in its company. We take the protection of your personal data very serious and want you to feel safe when browsing our internet pages.
Introduction
The protection of personal data is important to us. For this reason we carry out all our activities in adherence with current law for the protection of personal data and data protection. Under personal data we understand all information that is gathered in such a format that enables the identification of you as the natural person, either directly or indirectly.
Data Collection
We do not collect any personal data through our websites (such as names, addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses), unless you are voluntarily providing such information (e.g. by way of registering).
Use and transfer of personal data and earmarking
The Lindner Group will only collect, process and use the personal data that you provide us with for the purposes that we have informed you of, unless the collection, processing or use
- has taken place for another purpose that stands in direct connection with the original purpose for which the personal data were collected,
- is necessary due to legal obligations or due to official or legal decree,
- is necessary to bring or protect legal claims or to defend lawsuits,
- serves the prevention of misuse or other illegal activities, e.g. a deliberate attack on the Lindner systems in order to safeguard the data protection.
Transfer of personal data to third parties or use beyond the processing of an enquiry will not take place. Should the transfer to third parties (Lindner associated companies, which may potentially be located abroad) be necessary in order to answer an enquiry, the enquiring party's permission is deemed to have been given.
Data Security
The Lindner Group puts in place technical and organisational safety procedures to protect the data you supplied to the Lindner Group from accidental or deliberate manipulations, loss, destruction or from access by unauthorized persons.
Our security measures are continually improved in line with respective technological advances.
Right of information and public register of procedures
Upon request we will inform you in writing in line with current law if and which personal data are stored on our database. We have recorded the information in our public register of procedures in accordance with § 4e BDSG [German Data Protection Act].
Cookies, internal activities and external links
Upon accessing our websites technical information about your computer is recorded. The required information includes for instance: type of browser, operating system, and the domain name of your internet service provider. The information gathered, without exception, does not allow drawing any conclusions in relation to your person. The information is recorded anonymously and is for the purpose of statistical evaluation by us.
When visiting our websites it may also happen that we deposit information in form of “Cookies” on your computer, which automatically recognize your computer at your next visit to our site. Cookies enable us for instance to adjust the website to meet your interests or to store your password so that you don’t have to enter it each time anew. If you do not want us to recognize your computer, please set your internet browser to “Delete Cookies” from your computer hard drive, to block cookies or to receive a warning before a cookie is stored.
Our website uses Google-Analytics, a web analysis service, which uses so-called “Cookies” of Google inc. Google Analytics. These are text files that are stored on your computer and which allow the analysis of your use of our website. Recorded is, for example, information about the operating system, the browser, your IP address, the website accessed by you prior to our site (Referrer URL) and the date and time of your visit to our website. The information generated through this text file about the use of our website is transferred to a Google server in the USA and is stored there. Google uses this information in order to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports about the website activity for website service providers and to provide other services in connection with website and internet use. Google will under no circumstances connect your IP address with other data of Google. In as far as this is a legal requirement or in as far as third parties process such data by order of Google, Google will also transfer this information to such third parties.
In view of the discussion about the use of analytical tools with complete IP addresses we would like to point out that our website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” which means IP addresses are only processed in shortened format so as to exclude a direct personal identification reference.
Our websites offer links to third party websites. The operators of the internet representation of the Lindner Group have no influence on the content of the linked pages. They were checked thoroughly prior to the links going live. Despite this we cannot rule out that the operators of the respective pages have made any changes to the contents that may breach current law or that may go against the corporate Lindner Group philosophy. The Lindner Group herewith distances itself from such content.
